The difference

Your bedroom isn't standard.
Your wardrobe shouldn't be fitted like one.

A standard fitted wardrobe is assembled from fixed-width units arranged to fill the wall as closely as possible. When the wall cooperates, the result can be adequate. When it doesn't — a ceiling that's slightly higher, a wall that's not quite square, an alcove with its own dimensions — the compromises become visible. A void above the units. A gap at the side. An internal layout that works for someone, just not for you.

A bespoke fitted wardrobe from Inspired Elements is designed to the exact dimensions of the room — floor to ceiling, wall to wall, with no standard module dictating the outcome. The internal layout is designed for what you actually own. The finish is the one you have chosen. The result is a wardrobe that reads as part of the room, not something placed inside it.

What you get with an Inspired Elements wardrobe

01

Designed for your exact room

Every cabinet built to your precise measurements. No gaps, no standard sizes forced into your space.

02

Any style, any finish

Any style, any finish — from matt lacquer to real wood veneer, glass or textured panels. Every finish made to order.

03

Internal storage designed around how you live

Hanging rails, shelving, drawers, shoe storage, pull-outs, lighting — configured for your life, not a generic layout.

04

10-year warranty as standard

Every wardrobe we build carries a 10-year manufacturing warranty. Built properly, built to last.

What changes

More space. Less clutter. A completely different room.

The best wardrobes don't feel like storage. They feel like part of the architecture.

A well-designed wardrobe changes how your room feels — cleaner, calmer, more considered. Everything has a place. The room breathes. This is what our clients notice first, the morning after installation.

  1. Every item accessible — no compromised corners or wasted space
  2. A bedroom that looks finished — furniture that belongs there
  3. Internal layout designed for two people if needed — not a generic split

Every style, built to order

Which wardrobe is right for your room?

Every option is made to measure — the difference is how the doors open and how the space is used. Not sure which suits your room? Your designer will advise.

Complete bedroom

Wardrobe, bed surround, bedside tables and dressing table — designed as one cohesive suite in matching finishes.

The details

The inside of a wardrobe matters as much as the outside.

Modern kitchen with minimalist cabinetry, large island, marble countertops, and soft ambient lighting.

01

Full-height hanging

Single and double hanging sections designed around what you actually own — the height of the longest garment, the depth of the rail, the space between. No wasted height, no rail positioned where the door blocks access to it.

Open wooden cabinet with shelves and drawers inside a room with beige walls and floor.

02

Drawer stacks

Integrated drawer stacks within the wardrobe body — soft-close, full-extension, and fronted in the same finish as the doors. Sized for folded clothing, accessories or shoes. Positioned for how you dress, not where the standard unit allows.

Rotating shoe rack inside a cabinet holding multiple pairs of shoes, lit with vertical LED strips.

03

Shoe storage

Angled shoe shelving, pull-out shoe racks and flat-shelf shoe storage — all designed to the depth of the wardrobe and the size of the collection. The right solution specified at the design stage.

Modern hallway with wooden door, beige wall cabinets, and a blue armchair reflected in mirrored doors.

04

Integrated mirrors

Full-height mirrors integrated into doors or as a dedicated panel within the wardrobe layout. Positioned for use, not for where they happen to fit. Frameless, framed or lit — all manufactured as part of the wardrobe, not added afterwards.

Modern kitchen with large island, built-in ovens, sleek cabinets, and ambient lighting under ceiling and counters.

05

LED lighting

Integrated LED lighting — rail lights, shelf lights, internal cabinet lighting and plinth lighting — all wired and fitted as part of the installation. The wardrobe is lit when the door opens and off when it closes. Warm or cool white specified to the room's lighting scheme.

Pull-out closet organizer with multiple horizontal rods holding dark pants and clear storage bins.

06

Pull-out accessories

Pull-out tie racks, belt hooks, scarf organisers and valet rods — all built into the wardrobe rather than hanging from it. Specified at the design stage, manufactured to the dimensions of the drawer or section they sit within.

Awkward spaces — our speciality

The spaces other companies find difficult are where we do our best work.

Because every wardrobe is made to exact dimensions, there is no space we cannot work in. Sloped ceilings, attic rooms, alcoves, chimney breasts, bay windows — each one resolved precisely rather than worked around.

Sloped ceilings & lofts

Every angle accommodated. The wardrobe follows the roofline precisely — no wasted space, no awkward gaps.

Alcove wardrobes

Built into recesses to exactly fill the space — floor to ceiling, wall to wall, no fillers.

Chimney breast & bay window

Integrated around architectural features rather than stopping short of them.

Attic rooms

Specialist wardrobes for converted loft spaces where off-the-shelf solutions cannot fit.

This is where bespoke makes the biggest difference.

Common questions

Everything you need to know.

The questions we hear most often about bespoke fitted wardrobes in London.

What is the difference between a fitted wardrobe and a bespoke wardrobe?

Most fitted wardrobes are assembled from standard-width units that approximate the dimensions of your room. A bespoke wardrobe is designed and manufactured to the exact dimensions of the space — floor to ceiling, wall to wall. The internal layout is also designed for you specifically, not a default configuration.

Do you offer mirrored wardrobe doors?

Yes. Full-height mirror panels, smoked glass, fluted glass and framed mirror inserts are all available — all manufactured to the proportions of the door and the room, not a standard panel applied to a standard frame.

How much do bespoke fitted wardrobes cost in London?

Every wardrobe is priced individually based on size, finish and internal specification. We provide a fixed quote after your showroom consultation — no surprises. Speak to our team for an accurate guide to your project.

Should I choose sliding or hinged wardrobes?

Hinged wardrobes give full, unobstructed access to the interior — ideal where you have clear floor space in front. Sliding wardrobes suit rooms where space is tighter, as there is no door swing. If you are unsure, your designer will advise at the showroom. Both are made to exactly the same bespoke standard.

How long do fitted wardrobes take from consultation to installation?

Most projects complete within 6–8 weeks. Design and approval takes 1–2 weeks, manufacturing 3–4 weeks in our London manufacturing facility, and installation typically 1–3 days. Nothing enters production until you have approved every detail.

Can you fit wardrobes in a loft room or sloped ceiling?

Yes — this is one of our specialities. Because everything is made to exact dimensions, we design wardrobes that follow sloped ceilings and unusual roof angles precisely. Loft and attic wardrobes are among our most common projects. Standard flat-pack wardrobes simply cannot work in these spaces.

Do you work in awkward spaces — alcoves, chimney breasts, bay windows?

Yes — these are the projects we enjoy most. Because we manufacture to exact dimensions, every architectural feature is resolved rather than worked around. Alcove wardrobes, wardrobes around chimney breasts, corner units and bay window storage are all standard for us.

Can I visit your showroom before committing?

Yes — and we actively encourage it. Our Stanmore showroom is open Monday to Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday 9am–3pm. Booking ahead guarantees a designer is available for you. Come and see the finishes, open the drawers, and meet the team.

What warranty do you provide on fitted wardrobes?

Every fitted wardrobe carries a 10-year manufacturing warranty as standard. We also provide a guarantee on hardware and mechanisms, plus an aftercare service for any adjustments after installation settles.
