Art Deco Walnut and Brass Kitchen
A bespoke kitchen in rich walnut-effect veneer with inlaid brass bands, bespoke cabinetry, and a sculpted green marble island, made to measure for kitchen at Meadvale Road.

About the project
At Meadvale Road, we created a one-of-a-kind kitchen that draws on the glamour of Art Deco and reinterprets it for modern living. Rich, dark walnut-style veneer wraps the room in warmth, while slim brass bands run horizontally across the cabinetry, following every detail and catching the light.
The joinery is the heart of the design. Rounded columns and softly sweeping walls flow from the kitchen towards the hallway, so the cabinetry feels more like architecture than furniture. Behind the flush, handleless doors sit full-height storage and concealed appliances, keeping the look uninterrupted and calm.
At the centre, a sculpted island is clad in dramatic green and blue-veined marble, with softly rounded corners that echo the curves of the room. The same stone continues along the worktop and splashback, and an induction hob with integrated downdraft extraction keeps the island clean and uncluttered. A brushed brass tap and brass-framed glazing complete the palette.
Look closer and the details are just as considered. Wall units open upwards on angled lift-up fronts, with integrated lighting beneath and a glowing backlit onyx-style panel that adds a soft, luminous accent. Pendant lights with opal glass shades hang above the island and the dining table, and a large circular rooflight floods the space with daylight.
The result is a bold, characterful kitchen where exceptional materials, precise craftsmanship, and thoughtful design come together in a space unlike any other.
